Still. Calm.
Is there any life?
The sea, the sky's mirror
bled its life into the air,
Still. So calm, almost dead.
A beautiful reserve of life
preserved, encapsuled by light
blue sea, picked freely by
careening, quietly rejoicing birds,
afraid to wreck the peace,
afraid to unstill the calm
abundant catching of fish in
the see-through sea.
The day the sea bled into the sky,
no wind, barely breathing air,
the fish-catchers flying breathlessly
dipping their reflected beaks
into the mirror's edge, so quiet,
feasting on the exposed fish
a-swim within the light
blue silvered mirror.
The day the sea fed the sky,
taking its color in return,
light blue and light blue,
One from two.
